Who runs the site
MacLocalLLM is an IKEO Group publication about local AI. This policy covers maclocalllm.com. Our public email address is [email protected]. Email us with privacy questions or requests.
When you browse
Our hosting and security services process technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested page, request time, and referring page. We use this to deliver pages, troubleshoot errors, and detect abuse. Search terms you enter in the site search are sent to the site as part of the page request.
Cloudflare provides content delivery, security, and Web Analytics. Its analytics beacon reports visits and page-loading performance. Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not use cookies or track people across websites. Its network and security services still process request information. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cookies and outside services
WordPress uses cookies for administrator login and preferences. Public registration and site comments are closed. Cloudflare may use security cookies when checking suspicious traffic. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser; blocking them can affect login or security checks.
Some article pages load an author avatar from Gravatar, operated by Automattic. Your browser sends Gravatar your IP address and request information to load that image. See Automattic’s privacy policy. Links to Reddit, model repositories, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Advertising
We are applying to Google AdSense; Google ads are not currently running on the site. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on earlier visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners personalize ads across sites.
You can manage personalized ads in Google My Ad Center and Google’s partner-site ad settings, or visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out page for participating vendors. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. We will update this policy for the vendors and consent controls in use before ads go live.
Messages, storage, and your choices
If you contact us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you send and use them to respond. Our inbox uses Google Workspace. Google processes correspondence to provide that service; see Google’s privacy policy. Hosting, security, and email providers process information needed to provide those services. Website-generated email is delivered through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; its delivery logs are configured for 14 days. Your email provider and our inbox may retain correspondence separately.
Log, correspondence, and backup retention depends on the service and the need to operate the site, resolve a request, or investigate abuse. Backups can retain older copies until they expire. Contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or to request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify a request and retain information required for security or legal obligations.
We’ll update the date above when this policy changes. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information with a routine question or correction.
